Profile
Barbara combines over two decades of significant experience in international criminal law, living abroad, with a deep passion for coaching, mentoring and mediation. She supports individuals by empowering them to resolve conflicts, communicate effectively, and thrive in both personal and professional arenas.
Barbara’s work with the International Criminal Court and the United Nations has given her invaluable insights into navigating complex, high-pressure environments, where diverse, highly skilled individuals, with experiences and knowledge to bring, must collaborate towards shared, important, goals. This experience has shaped her understanding of the challenges posed by differing languages, cultural norms, and communication styles, in professional settings.
Drawing from her rich experiences and understanding of such multicultural environments, Barbara is uniquely positioned to help her clients work through (complex) issues arising within international or multicultural organisations and to help her clients more generally as they navigate issues arising in their lives.
What Barbara Offers
- Executive & Workplace Coaching
- Career Development Coaching
- Mediation & Conflict Resolution
- Life Coaching
Having lived and worked abroad for over 20 years, Barbara understands the challenges that come with adapting to different cultural settings and environments. Her personal journey equips her to provide tailored support to expats and professionals working in large, complex organisations, helping them embrace transitions and use their experiences for personal and professional growth.
With a high level of French and Dutch, Barbara, who is Irish, offers empathetic and insightful coaching, in three languages. Her coaching, be it executive/workplace coaching or life coaching, is grounded in authenticity, warmth, and a strong commitment to her clients’ personal growth. In terms of the former, she believes firmly in taking positive steps towards the early de-escalation of staff conflicts, and in the need to enable and empower individuals, at all levels, to allow them to tap into their original creativity and motivation, to allow their best selves to flourish, and to bring that to their own benefit and to that of their employer. More generally, she creates a genuine thinking space, where her clients feel truly seen and supported, and she works with them so that they can build awareness and strength, empowering them to move forward with clarity and confidence.
